News Right Now: Bloody Borders

Recent reports have revealed that Saudi Arabia is guilty of killing hundreds of migrants and asylum seekers after suffering such difficult conditions of escaping war from their land in Ethiopia passing through war torn Yemen, ending up at the doorstep of Saudi- only to be treated so inhumanely. Desperately, trying to flee from war, hunger and poverty in Ethiopia, in search and hope of a slightly better life, many set off-men, women, elderly and children -to either be killed with advanced machinery, witness traumatic deaths on their path or end up tortured in detention camps set up in remote areas unknown to the world. The Saudi border guards show no mercy upon seeing unarmed, helpless and desperate people. They shower rains of bullets upon just seeing movement. A tactic they use is to aim and fire at large rocks, which would send shrapnel and stone flying in multiple directions and maximize casualties amongst the refugees.

Saudi Arabia, who claims to represent Islam and boast about their custodianship of the holy sites, has yet again proven how little care they have for the Deen and how complacent they are in protecting blood and honor.
The REAL Islamic System, embodied in a Khilafah would ensure people are protected from any form of poverty, hunger, fear or oppression. It would provide mercy to all who come knocking on its doors seeking its help. Most importantly it would deliver its mercy to the doorsteps of humanity through dawah and jihad.

The sublime principle, values and laws of Islam are designed by the Creator of the heavens and the earth Himself to elevate humankind as individuals, and as a nation. Its truth is capable of delivering only goodness to every person it is extended to. As for Nationalism, we see today what it’s created out of the people. Its product is results like Saudi Arabia, who couldn’t care less about the life of the human. As a nation state, it seeks the idea of self-benefit above all notions of ethical and humane engagement, especially with its migrant population. It then should be no surprise when we hear of the devastating stories and cases that come out on the countless abuses towards not only desperate migrants fleeing from war in Ethiopia but all the migrant workers from around the world, but those workers who are treated worse than animals, those who are paid so poorly and those nannies and maids who are tortured and murdered.

Saudi Arabia has demonized and maligned Islam enough. It has demonstrated to the world that it cares not for Islam or Muslims. Only when Islam is correctly implemented with the establishment of the Islamic Khilafah, will we see the true justice, harmony and dignity it gives to people.

Allah (swt) says in Surah Isra, Verse 81:

[وَقُلْ جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ ۚ إِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا]

“And say, “Truth has come, and falsehood has departed. Indeed is falsehood, [by nature], ever bound to depart.””

May Allah (swt) hasten the demise of Falsehood and grant us the victory to finally end the suffering and oppression we see at the hands of our so-called Muslims leaders. Ameen
