Aden, the temporary capital of the Yemeni government, has witnessed three protests by women and men in the past two weeks. Due to the ongoing suffering of the people, angry marches took place in Aden, demanding the provision of basic services and denouncing the difficult living conditions and poor services. 

On Tuesday, 6 May 2025, the warplanes of the Jewish entity launched an attack on Yemen, the second in less than 24 hours, targeting, through a series of airstrikes, Sana’a International Airport and three power stations in the capital Sana’a, in the areas of Haziz, Dhahban, and Asr in the vicinity of the capital, as well as the Amran Cement Factory north of Sana’a.

The Alliance of Hadhramaut Tribes, led by Amr bin Habrish Al-Ali, announced in its statement issued on Saturday, April 12, 2025, following a broad meeting attended by the tribes and various segments of Hadhramaut, its demand for self-governance in Hadhramaut and its refusal to submit to what it called "other parties," referring to those competing for control over Hadhramaut.

On 09/03/2025, the Aden Central Bank offered to sell $30 million to bidders in Auction No. 7-2025. The first auction of the year, Auction No. 1-2025, was held on 20/01/2025, offering $50 million for sale. The Aden Central Bank has been conducting these dollar auctions since late 2021, with support from the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and other international banks that follow open market policies.
