After Nearly Three Years of Imprisonment, Several Members of Hizb ut Tahrir Were Released from Idlib Prisons
(Translated)

All praise and gratitude belong to Allah (swt). Today, Monday,16/2/2026, a number of Hizb ut Tahrir members, including Ustadh Ahmad Abdul Wahab, Head of the Hizb ut Tahrir Media Office in Wilayah Syria, were released from Idlib prisons after nearly three years of detention.

These past years have been marked by immense suffering and deprivation for these members and their families. The situation changed many times dramatically in those years, they were denied the opportunity to share in the joy of victory and the battle of liberation, all while steadfastness to their ideology remained the defining characteristic of their journey.

The revolution of Ash-Sham arose to overthrow the regime, establish Islamic law within a state, eliminate injustice, and restore rights to their rightful owners. Without this, justice can never prevail.

Their arrest—as is well known—occurred before the fall of the criminal and defunct regime. This was due to their clear and public political stances, their call for a firm stand against the defunct regime to bring it down, end the influence of conspiring nations, and work towards implementing the Islamic law in all aspects of life. These were positions they expressed with unwavering clarity and conviction, enduring the consequences of arrest and imprisonment for their sake.

We ask Allah (swt) to accept the patience and steadfastness of the members and their families, to place their suffering on the scales of their good deeds, to grant imminent relief to every unjustly imprisoned person, to reward all those who raised their voices in their support and to lift the injustice from them, and to release the remaining prisoners of conscience.

Hizb ut Tahrir remains steadfast on its path and methodology, continuing its journey with determination, confidence, and perseverance to establish the rule of Islam and its state, the second Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly Guided Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood, whose time has come and whose era has approached, by Allah's permission.
