Three years of extensive bombing massacres of civilians, the majority women and children, total destruction of civilian infrastructure: hospitals, roads, schools, parks, agriculture, mosques, churches, and people’s homes; systematic executions and mutilations of children by snipers, systematized torture and rape of prisoners, starvation and displacement of the population…
Despite all this, Denmark’s Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, cannot bring herself to even mention Gaza in her completely unhistorical and manipulative October 7th post on Facebook.
Instead, the Prime Minister plays the worn-out antisemitism card in an attempt to cover up, and even legitimize, her own complicity in the atrocities.
In addition to political backing, Denmark continues to export parts for the fighter jets used in the massacres, with the Danish government’s approval.
From day one, Mette Frederiksen has shown her true colors and, as leader of the Danish government, declared her unequivocal support for the crimes against Gaza’s civilian population under the guise of the so-called "Israel's" right to defend itself, as well as contributing to the dehumanization of Palestinians.
Despite the fact that world opinion long ago realized the realities of this conflict, including the Danish public, Mette Frederiksen and the Danish government insist on standing on the wrong side of history.
In this connection, Hizb ut Tahrir / Denmark wishes to emphasize the following:
-
We strongly condemn the Danish Prime Minister’s continued support for massacres and abuses against the population of Gaza and distance ourselves from her hypocritical and entirely untrustworthy declaration of sympathy for innocent victims.
-
We emphasize that the so-called two-state solution, which Frederiksen mentions that Denmark supports, is not a solution that any sensible and just person can support. On the contrary, it is an abandonment of most of Palestine to the Danish-backed occupation, which is far more brutal than Nazi Germany’s occupation of Denmark in the 1940s.
-
Every inch of historic Palestine must be liberated by the military forces of the Muslim countries moving toward Jerusalem and the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque.
-
The colonialist entity that calls itself "Israel" has absolutely no right to exist. It is a historical crime that must be removed by force. This is the only path to a lasting peace.
-
We appeal to everyone with a sense of decency to protest against and distance themselves from the Danish state’s complicity in the crimes against the people of Palestine.
