During this decade, Morocco experienced catastrophic transformations as a result of the regime’s engagement with toxic capitalist policies in response to the encroachment of Western capitalism, its transnational corporations, and the programs of international institutions such as the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. What made the situation even more grim, and transformed the disaster into a tragedy was the enthusiasm of the palace and its inner circle for adopting these policies and quickly implementing them, given that they were the primary local beneficiaries.

Thus, in the name of privatization, foreign investment, corporations, the floating of the currency, and drowning in a sea of debt, the country was transformed into a private farm for Western capitalism and its corporations, and in the favor of the palace and its inner circle. All the country’s wealth was plundered and transferred to the private accounts of these particular parties.

Under these toxic capitalist policies, the country’s mineral wealth has been completely and comprehensively seized. The pace of agreements, contracts, discoveries, exploration, extraction and marketing has accelerated, in addition to previous agreements and contracts, whether in the energy sector, such as oil, gas and shale oil, or precious metals, such as gold, silver, copper and rare earth metals strategic in technology such as cobalt, and in other fields such as renewable energy, such as wind energy and solar panels, as well as desalination of seawater to convert it into a capital commodity to increase the ruling elite’s profits. With this, the pace of oil and gas discoveries and new mines in Morocco has accelerated through British companies in particular and Western companies in general, along with the palace’s mining company.

The country’s agriculture has become the property of Western capitalism and the tiny local power elite, and all policies related to the agricultural sector have become the vision and design of Western capitalism, from The Green Morocco Plan (2008-2018), then The Morocco Green Generation Program-for-Results (2020-2030) that followed it; all of which are toxic and malicious plans dictated by Western capitalist institutions, led by the World Bank. As a result, the country’s lands have been transformed into farms for Western capitalism, producing what the Western market needs at the expense of the people’s sustenance and livelihood, as an export-orientated agriculture. The people’s crops, livestock, and water have been depleted, leaving them abandoned to deep poverty. The regime followed this up with its corruption by handing over the sea and its contents to Western capitalist companies through the Halieutis Strategy for marine fishing, which was announced in 2009. As a result of these toxic and malicious capitalist policies, unemployment has spread in cities, villages, rural areas, and the agricultural and fishing sectors, and poverty has become widespread and overflowing.

The catastrophe’s aftermath revealed the horrific extent of the devastation. Over the past ten years, growth rates have continued to decline, unemployment rates have risen, debt has reached astronomical levels, the economic crisis has worsened, people’s living standards have deteriorated, and exorbitant inflation has become a nightmare, terrifying the public. Morocco has become a bankrupt country and one of the most indebted Arab and African countries. Its debt has exceeded the ceiling of 100 billion and reached $107.9 billion in 2024, according to the International Monetary Fund. The debt for this year, 2025, is estimated at about $130 billion, and the external debt represents about $85 billion, which constitutes 85% of the gross domestic product, an increase of 3% over 2024. This is a terrifying and horrifying debt. The last ten years have witnessed the regime drowning in the swamp of debt and falling into the abyss of bankruptcy. Among the consequences of this astronomical debt were the dictates of Western financial institutions, and the complete submission to Western capitalism, through the adoption of a policy of so-called austerity, enabling Western capitalists to gain wealth at the expense of poverty and impoverishment of the people. Among the measures of this malicious and toxic policy was the reduction and cutting back of management and administration expenses for the basic needs of society, laying off public sector employees, workers, and wage earners, reducing wages, raising the retirement age, increasing the size of tax deductions from wages, raising taxes on goods and services, lifting subsidies on basic commodities for people's livelihood, including wheat, sugar, oil and fuel, liberalizing prices and leaving them prey to the capitalist market and its monstrous profits and outrageous black markets prices, liberalizing foreign trade from customs duties to serve Western capitalism and undermine local trade, privatizing public properties and public utilities, such as in education, health and transportation, floating the currency to reduce its value for the benefit of Western capitalist importers, and burdening people with the exorbitant costs of education, medical care, housing, transportation, and all living expenses and services. Debt servicing, as interest payments, has become an annual drain on more than the combined education and health budgets, and the largest part of state revenues now depends on taxes and borrowing. According to the draft state budget for 2024, which is estimated at 311 billion dirhams, 245 billion dirhams of this comes from direct and indirect taxes. As a result of these tragic conditions, poverty has worsened and become widespread. What added to the shame of the regime’s policy was that it brought about poverty, taxes, and squandered money on people on malicious, toxic projects, such as stadiums, amusement parks, and organized entertainment, including organizing the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2030 World Cup, which resulted in exorbitant, debilitating inflation, a predatory tax ogre, and the abyss of bankruptcy for a failed, bankrupt regime!

This catastrophic and tragic situation was the cause of a burning congestion, and a fuse for an explosion, which was translated into protests and scattered demonstrations of grievance and complaint in most parts of the country. It was not long before they included all the country’s cities and even its countryside. The people revolted against the injustice, oppression, corruption and ugly policies of the regime, so it confronted them with its machinery of repression. In its bankruptcy and failure, nothing remained in its hand except the stick of its repression and torture!

O People of Morocco, oppressed by colonial systems: Know that your tragedy is not an anomaly, but rather a crack in the tragedy of a Ummah, with the loss of its Islam and the control of the kafir Western colonialism over its life through the systems of the local, dominating thieves. You are a case of the destruction and devastation produced by the capitalist ignorance and its malicious, toxic monopolies in full collusion with the traitorous, agent regimes of the marginalized countries in the Muslim countries. This deep poverty, crushing crises, bankruptcy and devastation are the malicious, toxic harvest of the murderous capitalism of the West, and its system that controls your lives through the internal tools of the colonialist agents amongst the rulers and the politicians.

This capitalist ignorance that has filled the earth with evil, calamities, suffering and human tragedies is the cause of your tragedies. The governing regimes of treason and shame are the bombs of your destruction and ruin, and they will not be done with any human affair until it is either ruined, or among the doomed.

It is time for you to emerge from this maze, and to break away from the falsehoods of the West, the darkness of its kufr (disbelief), the ignorance of its capitalism, and its tools and agents of treason and shame. It is time for you to save yourselves, your Ummah, and all of humanity from this civilizational crushing, misleading maze, and heavy rubble. You are from the best Ummah that was brought forth for mankind the bearers of the Risaalah (message) and the (Shahaadah) testimony. This will not happen except by first reclaiming your authority usurped by the West and its lackeys, and first destroying its idols and statues, and blowing up the falsehood of its philosophy, system, and regulations, and implementing the Shariah Law of your Lord, Allah (swt), by establishing the matter of your Islam through the Bayah of allegiance to a man from among you who will make the Book of Allah, the Most High, and the Sunnah of your Prophet (saw) rule over you, and restore to you the conduct of the noble, rightly-guided Companions (ra), a Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly-Guided Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood, through which the Shariah rulings of the Qur’an and Sunnah will be implemented after abandonment, and through which the Sunnah of the Chosen One, the Guide, Muhammad (saw), will be revived after its death. Through the Khilafah, you will resume your noble and honorable Islamic life after a long hiatus, and carry the Dawah of the great Islam as a guidance for all humanity, connecting the earth to the heavens so that the Lord of the earth and the heavens, Allah (swt), may be pleased with you. Let us call upon the Nur (Light of Guidance) of Allah (swt), so respond and answer, for in it is your salvation and deliverance. Allah (swt) said,

“Alif, Lam, Ra. This is a Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that you may bring mankind out from darknesses into the Nur by permission of their Lord - to the path of the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy.” [TMQ Surah Ibrahim: 1].
