Only an Ideological State with a Global Vision can Save the World from Trump’s Tariff Terrorism

Bangladesh secures 20% US tariff for garments, exporters relieved. Bangladesh has negotiated a 20% tariff on exports to the U.S., down from the 37% initially proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump, bringing relief to exporters in the world's second-largest garment supplier. The outcome secured by Bangladesh - home to a $40 billion apparel export sector - reflects careful negotiation, said Khalilur Rahman, national security adviser and lead negotiator. Muhammad Yunus, the Head of the country's Interim Government, called it a “decisive diplomatic victory”. Reuters.

The US administration with a naked colonial intention weaponized the tariff system in international trade to achieve dirty geopolitical objectives. Armed with the undue advantage of printing Dollars, the US resorted to imposing irrational and arbitrary high tariffs on many countries and created a shockwave throughout the entire global supply chain. Due to this, hundreds of millions of jobs hang by a thread in many exporting countries. Fearing massive disruption in the economy and subsequent labor and social unrest, many countries ran towards the US requesting to lower the tariff to prevent their economy from a sudden collapse. The US wanted to create exactly this vulnerable situation and used this vulnerability to terrorize and impose hooligan style one-sided terms and conditions on many countries, which equals shattering their external sovereignty. Bangladesh is no exception to this. To reduce the tariff from 37% to 20%, the US imposed many harmful non-tariff masseurs (NTMs) and other anti-Islamic agendas like resuming war on terror narratives to suppress the call for Khilafah (Caliphate) and its advocate Hizb ut Tahrir in Bangladesh. However, this reduction of tariff is not a relief but unfolding of a trap that is designed to drag Bangladesh into a spiraling loop of economic and political subjugation.

The US became a monster by following the neo-colonial tools. After the WW2, the US utilized its colonial tools IMF and World bank to cripple the agricultural sector and destroy flourishing industrial sector of many countries. At the same time the US used money and the trickle-down economic model to corrupt the political culture of those countries and make those countries dependent on the supply chain of the US economy. Coupling with this the undue authority of printing Dollars, the US became the ultimate controller of all the strings of the economy of those countries. Later, the US started to use this vulnerability and dependence to dictate the internal and foreign policy of those countries to gain economic and geopolitical advantage. When those countries surrender to this vulnerability and dependence, the US entangle them in a vicious trap and use them as fuel in conflicts with her geopolitical rivals. It’s like a never-ending loop and any sane person can perceive this. However, the response of the Bangladeshi ruling classes and the political establishments is definitely dubious. How come they call it a decisive victory? It can only be a victory for them if they belong to the US side of the story! Indeed, they are betraying the people of Bangladesh for a cheap bait.

The people of Bangladesh, as well as the global business community, are direly in need of getting rid of the US hegemon. Only an alternative ideology can save them. This ideology is not socialism as it’s been failed miserably and the solutions offered by this ideology are inconsistent with the human nature and needs. Only Islam on the face of this earth is that alternative ideology. A Caliphate State which is based upon this Islamic ideology can save the world from this tariff terrorism of the US. The Caliphate will resume the bi-metallic standard as a command of Allah (swt). Gold and silver base monetary system will ensure every country buy and sells on a fair basis and every economic activity along the global supply chain will rewarded on a fair basis. Only this can end the unfair advantage of printing Dollars and prevent the US from going and staying rogue in dealing with economic matters. Only Hizb ut Tahrir is the capable leadership in the Muslim lands to resume this Islamic way of life (running the Caliphate) and would mobilize global business community against this tariff terrorism.
