African Union President, Senegalese President Macky Sall said in statements to Radio France International that Africa will face a very serious famine, if wheat exports from Ukraine to the continent are not resumed.

Vice President of the Sovereignty Council, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti), affirmed their commitment to cooperate with all United Nations mechanisms and the Human Rights Council, to promote and develop human rights in the country. Hemedti indicated their interest in following up on the implementation of all recommendations related to promoting the human rights situation in the country. (Saudi News Agency 04/06/2022).

On the 14th of May, the Times of India published a report regarding how inflation rates have severely affected the economic life of Muslim women and in turn, left them vulnerable to severe health problems. Hundreds of Muslim women are lining up outside clinics with chronic conditions needing social and financial assistance.

The BBC reported on April 25 that Kenyan women are often violated by private water sellers who exploit them due to their circumstances of poverty. The current government structures are such that water demands are not being met and private unregulated entities are absorbing the market share with their own street services. The unscrupulous water sellers have no moral objection to harassing women and physically violating them.
