Obituary of a Dawah Carrier
Ustadh Al-Hashemi Taher Bou Abdullah

[مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ فَمِنْهُم مَّن قَضَىٰ نَحْبَهُ
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَنتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُوا تَبْدِيلاً]

“Among the believers are men who have proven true to what they pledged to Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their pledge ˹with their lives˺, others are waiting ˹their turn˺. They have never changed ˹their commitment˺ in the least.” [Al-Ahzab 33:23]

Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Tunisia mourns to the Muslims in general and to the people of Tunisia in particular the passing of one of its first and pious members,

Ustadh Al-Hashemi Taher Bou Abdullah – Gabes

who passed away on Monday night, 2/2/2026, at the age of 72, having spent his life in obedience to Allah, carrying the Islamic call, working with Hizb ut Tahrir to resume the Islamic way of life in the Khilafah (Caliphate) state on the method of the Prophethood, patiently enduring what he faced in the path of Allah from persecution, oppression, and dismissal from work during the rule of Ben Ali, for no other reason than saying, “My Lord is Allah.” The forgiven deceased, Allah willing, was bold in the truth, not fearing the blame of any critic in the cause of Allah, and was tender-hearted, wishing to live under the Khilafah State, even for an hour of his life, whenever the Khilafah State was mentioned in his presence.

We ask Allah (swt) to have mercy on our departed brother and the departed brother of the Islamic Ummah, and to admit him to the highest Paradise with the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous and they are the best companions. We also ask Him (swt) to grant his family and relatives patience, solace, and best mourning.

[إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ]

“Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will ˹all˺ return.” [Al-Baqara 2:156]
