78th “Independence Day”
Pakistan Will Become Independent through the Establishment of the Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly-Guided Caliphate)

Under the current international order, so-called independence is nothing more than a staged drama, for true liberation (tahrir) exists only when a state can organize its domestic affairs and foreign relations according to its own ideology. A people who believe in “La ilaha illa AllahMuhammadur RasulAllah” will never be truly liberated until they implement in their land the Islamic system of governance, economy, society, education, and judiciary, along with a foreign policy based on Da‘wah and Jihad. This is the real meaning of independence, and in this regard, Pakistan is not yet liberated!

A glance at Pakistan’s key policies is enough to prove the point. Is Pakistan’s policy on Al-Quds and Gaza not formulated in the US CENTCOM, the Pentagon, and the US State Department? Is the Kashmir policy not built upon begging for Trump’s attention, despite the fact that only a few months ago we practically demonstrated the capability to liberate it directly? Is Pakistan’s Afghan policy designed by our own Foreign Office, or is it drawn up by US Under-Secretaries of State and military commanders of US CENTCOM? Does Pakistan not set its budget, monetary policy, and fiscal policy under the strict surveillance and dictation of the IMF? Do the Prime Ministers not shamelessly declare that they will seek the permission of the IMF to reduce electricity prices? Are the courts of Pakistan not still deciding cases on the basis of English common law? Did the Pakistani army chief not recently travel to the United States just to attend the retirement ceremony of his direct “officer in command,” General Kurilla? What kind of “independence” is this, where we cannot wage war for Kashmir or Gaza but are ever-ready to fight in America’s wars?

Pakistan is one of the seven declared nuclear powers in the world. Five of these nuclear powers control different regions of the world and shape affairs according to their ideological interests. France and Britain control European politics; America enforces its dictates across the globe; Russia is entrenched in Eastern Europe; China is steadily expanding its sphere of influence. As for the Hindu state, it is working hard to become the policeman of this region. So where does Pakistan stand in this equation? America can make, break, and remake a nuclear deal with Iran at will, yet we cannot even conclude an oil purchase agreement with Iran. Why? What kind of independence is this?

O Officers and Soldiers of the Pakistan Armed Forces!

The obstacle to Pakistan’s true independence and liberation (tahrir) is neither a lack of resources nor a shortage of passion, courage, or capability among our soldiers or our people. Our real crisis is a leadership devoid of vision—leadership that must be removed and replaced with an ideological leadership to which Bayah of Nussrah (military support) is given, so that the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) can be established in Pakistan. This is the correct definition of true independence, and the greatest responsibility for achieving it lies upon you, to lead Pakistan to this goal. Hizb ut Tahrir, the Party of Liberation, stands before you with an ideological vision, presenting you with a complete program and project. So come, on this 78^th “Independence Day,” clothe it in the garb of true independence, reject this colonial international order, and under the Raya banner of “La ilaha illa Allah Muhammadur RasulAllah,” build a new world order.

[وَأَنَّ هَٰذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ وَصَّاكُم بِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ]

“And indeed, this is My straight path, so follow it. Do not follow other paths, for they will separate you from His path. This is what He has enjoined upon you so that you may become righteous.” [TMQ Surah Al-An‘am 6:153]
