The Change in Egypt’s Condition cannot Come from Words or Actions Alone but only Through Allah’s Law
(Translated)
The Egyptian President stated: “We are here to change the state of our country, and this will not change through intentions, but through actions, and the people must help us...” a statement in which he repeats his usual slogans to justify a failed policy that he claims is for “the public interest.” However, the truth is that real change does not come from slogans or actions disconnected from Allah’s method, but only by implementing His Law in state and societal affairs.
In Islam, the criterion for change is the extent to which actions align with Allah’s Law, not whether they are painful or intensive. Actions that are not based on Islam are corruption, no matter how much the ruler decorates them with slogans of “interest.” Allah the Almighty said:
[وَمَن لَمْ يَحْكُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللهُ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ]
“And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is those who are the defiantly disobedient.” [Surat Al-Ma’ida:47]
Is what Sisi is doing from submitting to the IMF, selling the nation’s assets, imposing taxes, lifting subsidies, considered legitimate reform? Certainly not. It is exactly what Allah has forbidden.
When Sisi blames the people for the failure of his policies, he ignores the fact that the system he leads is based on dependency on Western capitalism and that it plunders the country’s wealth for the benefit of a corrupt few. In Islam, the ruler is responsible for taking care of people’s affairs, not blaming them for failure. The Prophet (swt) said:
«الْإِمَامُ رَاعٍ وَهُوَ مَسْؤُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ». “The Imam (ruler) is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock.”
As for his statement: “Our goal is the public interest, even if you see it differently,” it is like Pharaoh’s words about Prophet Musa (Moses), peace be upon him:
[إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَن يُبَدِّلَ دِينَكُمْ أَوْ أَن يُظْهِرَ فِي الْأَرْضِ الْفَسَادَ]
“I fear that he will change your religion or that he will cause corruption in the land.” [Surat Ghafir:26]
In Islam, public interest is defined through the Shari’ah texts, not based on what the ruler or elite consider it to be. The real public interest is that which aligns with Allah's Law.
Experience has proven that any change within the secular democratic system or under Western dependence leads only to further deterioration. The country will not rise unless the system of Islam replaces secularism, as Al-Faruq (Umar ibn Al-Khattab) said: “We are a people whom Allah has honored through Islam; if we seek honor through anything else, Allah will humiliate us.”
The true path to change is through the establishment of Al-Khilafah (the rightly guided Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood, which implements Islam in governance, economy, education, and politics, carries the Islamic dawah to the world, establishes justice, redistributes wealth, and frees the Ummah from subjugation.
O soldiers of Egypt: You are the sons of heroes, the hope of the Ummah, how long will the silence last? Did you swear allegiance to protect a client regime, or to support the truth and the deen? The Ummah is waiting for you to be like the Ansar (supporters) of the Prophet (swt). Support the shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir who are working to establish the Khilafah (Caliphate) and open the gates of victory.
“[And they are] those who, if We give them authority in the land, establish prayer and give zakah and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. And to Allah belongs the outcome of [all] matters.” [Surat Al-Hajj:41]
