Imperialist domination is a result of the kufr democratic system; only the Khilafah can lead the Muslim Ummah to regain her position as the world's number one state

Hizb ut-Tahrir organized public speeches after Jummah prayers today, outside various mosques across Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet where speakers said the kufr democratic system of the Awami-BNP rulers is nothing other than rule of the imperialists, by the imperialists and for the imperialists. The speakers referred to the government's deal with US energy giant ConocoPhillips on 16th June and the government's action of humiliating the country's military by making them salute the Indian Army chief on 22nd June, saying these two events of this week highlight the extent of control the disbelievers and polytheist states exercise over the Awami-BNP rulers. Indeed the oft-repeated statement of the US-British-Indian agent, killer of the army officers, Sheikh Hasina that, "I could not come to power in 2001 general elections because I did not agree to pledge the resources of the country to foreign companies" demonstrates the cruel reality of the democratic system. Hasina is openly and shamelessly proclaiming that the imperialists dominate the political process of country, to the point of deciding the outcome of the so-called democratic elections! So it can be said that the deal with ConocoPhillips means that this time Hasina did agree to pledge the resources of the country to foreign companies. Indeed Hasina has done worse than this - she has agreed to pledge the security of the country to crusader America and mushrik India; thus in just over 2 years of her government she collaborated with India in the killing of army officers, made the country a Forward Operating Base (FOB) for the US military's pacific command (USPACOM), allowed US military to hold 7 ‘Tiger Shark' exercises, and has now disgraced the officers of the Muslim Army of Bangladesh by making them salute the chief of the Mushrik Army.
The speakers elaborated some of steps needed to end the imperialist domination over the Muslims and start the march towards regaining the Ummah's position as the world's number on state:

• Removing the borders between Muslims and unifying the Ummah under one flag and banner i.e. one state;
• Building a strong unified Muslim Army such that the Muslim officers and soldiers from Morocco to Indonesia march under one leadership; and
• Utilizing Muslim Ummah's manpower, resources and industries to construct a huge, industrialized, developed economy.

It will only be possible for the Ummah to take these concrete and realistic steps, alongside many others, under the leadership of the Islamic Khilafah "Caliphate" state.

News Details:

U.S. building virtual Internet as cyberattack testbed
The U.S. is creating a virtual version of the Internet-this one designed as a testbed to help the nation hone its defenses against cyberattacks, according to Reuters and other sources. Known as the National Cyber Range, the virtual testbed would be set up by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the same agency that kicked off the Internet itself more than 40 years ago. The new simulated mini-Internet would give Washington the opportunity to carry out virtual cyberwarfare games as a way of testing different scenarios and technologies in response to cyberattacks. To work on the initial development phase of the new system, defense contractor Lockheed Martin was awarded a $5.4 million contract by DARPA in early 2009. The company has provided its own team of cybertechnology experts to work with DARPA on building the test range. Ironically, Lockheed itself was recently the victim of a cyberattack by hackers who used duplicates of SecurID electronic keys to breach network security.

US Federal Reserve worries about spillover from Europe's debt crisis to U.S. financial system
So let's say Greece or one of the other financially weakest countries in Europe were to default on its bonds. Would that hit the U.S. banking system? Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke was asked that question at his news conference on Wednesday. The response he gave was pretty much what many on Wall Street already had assumed: U.S. banks don't have much in the way of direct financial holdings in Greece and Europe's other "peripheral" countries (Ireland, Portugal). Still, the Fed worries that the indirect effects of a European debt blow-up could be "quite significant" in U.S. markets, Bernanke conceded. He also singled out U.S. money market mutual funds, which make very short-term loans to banks and other institutions, as an area of "concern" in terms of European investments.

Rasmussen: NATO Will Continue Slaughter in Libya
Even as Italy calls for an immediate cease fire, NATO Secretary-General Anders Rasmussen made it clear today that the slaughter in Libya will continue unabated, seemingly unmoved by images showing dead babies murdered as a result of a campaign sold on the justification of "protecting civilians". "NATO chief Anders Fogh Rasmussen says the alliance will continue its bombing campaign in Libya, amid calls from Italy for a halt to hostilities to allow humanitarian assistance to civilians," reports Radio Free Europe.

Yemeni VP holds talks with visiting U.S. official
Yemeni Vice President Abdu-Rabbu Mansour Hadi held talks Wednesday with the visiting U.S. Assistant Secretary for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman, discussing the country's prolonged political standoff, Yemeni official Saba news agency reported. "The U.S. administration highly appreciated the responsible acts that implemented by Hadi, including the respect of ceasefire and removing gunmen from the cities, as well as Hadi's meeting with the leadership of opposition and youth-led protesters," Saba quoted Feltman as saying. Feltman also affirmed that the U.S. administration will support all parties that work for the sake of Yemen's security, stability and the unity, calling on all the political parties to engage in a constructive dialogue and avoid woes to their homeland, Saba said. For his part, Hadi appreciated the concerns of U.S. President Barack Obama that "have helped the country to overcome the most dangerous stages of the ongoing political stalemate." He reaffirmed that the top priority at present is to hold the truce with the opposition-backed armed tribesmen and put the security and economy back on track. Hadi became the acting president following Saleh's departure to neighboring Saudi Arabia earlier this month to receive treatment for injuries he sustained in a bomb attack on his palace.

US to remove 33000 troops by end of 2012
President Obama signalled in an Oval Office address Wednesday night that America's commitment to the war in Afghanistan is on the wane and 33,000 of just under 100,000 US soldiers are to be withdrawn within 15 months.  Timed to be completed at the end of September 2012 - just weeks before Mr Obama's seeks re-election - the draw-down is more rapid and more substantial than his military commanders would have liked, and will be seen as an acknowledgement of growing domestic impatience with the war after a decade of fighting. Mr Obama said: "We are starting this drawdown from a position of strength. Al-Qa'ida is under more pressure than at any time since 9/11. Together with the Pakistanis, we have taken out more than half of al-Qa'ida's leadership. And thanks to our intelligence professionals and special forces, we killed Osama bin Laden, the only leader that al-Qa'ida had ever known. This is the beginning - but not the end - of our effort to wind down this war. We will have to do the hard work of keeping the gains that we have made, while we draw down our forces and transition responsibility for security to the Afghan government."

Domestic support for Pak Army drops: US poll
Domestic support for the Pakistani Army's campaign against militant groups has waned in recent years, a poll by a US group has found, showing deep-rooted opposition among the Pakistani public to the US. The findings of two Pew Research Center surveys of 3,221 people found that just 37 per cent of them supported using the army to fight militants, which was 16 per cent lower than two years ago, according to Pew. The surveys also showed that most Pakistanis - 63 per cent - disapproved of the secret US raid in May that killed Osama bin Laden, with 55 per cent describing it as a "bad thing". Only 12 per cent of respondents had a positive view of the US and only 8 per cent had confidence in President Barack Obama "to do the right thing in world affairs", Pew said.

Sheikh Hasina Pleases Her Master USA by handing over 5,158 square kilometers of Bangladesh to Energy Giant ConocoPhillips

  • Published in Politics
  •   |

On 16th June, 2011 the government of Sheikh Hasina has handed over 5,158 square kilometers (1,992 square miles) of Bangladesh territory to American energy giant ConocoPhillips by signing a controversial and un-Islamic production-sharing contract with the said company to explore gas in the unexplored deep waters of the Bay of Bengal. This is the second time this government has allowed foreign multinationals to operate in the offshore gas field after another controversial and anti-state contract on 16th May, 2011 with Australian oil giant Santos International to allow sale of gas to foreign buyers. The total estimated reserve of offshore gas field is 14 trillion cubic feet (TCF) of natural gas, which is more than 90% of the country's entire existing gas reserve. With this contract the government of Sheikh Hasina has fulfilled one of its most important obligations towards America in exchange of American consent for a US-British-Indian compromise deal that lead to Hasina's sweeping election victory back in 2008.

Bangladesh has been endowed with huge energy resources including high quality gas, coal, uranium and lithium. From 1965 onward the state run Petrobangla had been successfully managing the production and distribution of gas through its subsidiary Titas for household consumption, industrial usage and for the production of fertilizer and electricity. In fact almost 83% of the entire electricity production uses gas as the raw material. The success of Titas in constant supply of gas for the above uses has been quite remarkable. However, during the previous tenure of Hasina (from 1996-2001) and thereafter the period of Khaleda Zia (from 2001-2006) foreign companies especially US, European and Indian companies (and governments) aggressively pushed the BD government to allow them to engage in Bangladeshi gas sector. These companies, the BD government and the paid intellectuals overstated the actual gas reserve of the country even up to 40 TCF to 50 TCF to sell a theory that, the country has enough gas reserve and can sell the gas to foreign countries. The ultimate objective was to seduce the public opinion and nullify any public outrage to allow US, European and Indian energy multinationals to engage in exploration, production, distribution and sale of gas within and outside the country. Thus the engagement of Occidental (US), and Chevron (US), Nico (Canadian Company), Asian Energy (UK), Cairn Energy (UK), etc in the BD gas sector begun. The entire country has been divided into 23 blocks with 6 offshore blocks to allow these foreign companies work in the exploration, production, distribution of gas. However, these companies had disastrous effect on the future of Bangladeshi gas sector with Nico and Occidental engaging in major accidents where more than $725 million worth gas has been set on fire, not to mention the environmental catastrophe!

After the 2001 elections, Sheikh Hasina publicly advocated that, "I could not come to power in 2001 general election because, I have not agreed to pledge the resources of the country to foreign companies". This is the cruel reality of the democratic system. The rulers openly proclaim the domination of the imperialists over the political process of country! Anyway, whatever nonsense Hasina utters in self-glorification of her patriotism, the reality is these rulers have no sincerity to the country, nor do they have an iota of courage to stand up to the imperial powers.

During the western and army backed caretaker government of former World Bank servant Dr. Fakhruddin Ahmed the American companies continued their demand for not only to engage into the exploration, production and distribution of gas in Bangladesh, but also to allow them to sell the gas either to local third party or to foreign buyers. The government of Dr. Fakhruddin in 2008 under the dictates of US ambassador James F. Moriarty finally re-formulated the standard PSC (Production Sharing Contract) to allow the foreign companies to explore and sell gas even to third parties. In 2010 the government of Hasina formulated the "National Gas Policy 2010" with provision for companies to sell the gas even to foreign companies. Thus Santos International of Australia and now ConocoPhillips of USA have been given this permission.

The agreement between ConocoPhillips guarantees that the company will receive 80% of the gas while Bangladeshi government i.e. Petrobangla will receive only 20% of the gas! Moreover according to the contract Petrobangla can purchase any amount of gas from ConocoPhillips up to 100% at international market price, which is almost 290% of the current local market price!! Still Sheikh Hasina in a public gathering has questioned the allegiance for the country of those who opposes this contract. Moreover, in her she questioned the countrymen, "who is the most patriotic people of the country?", then she herself (!) replied that "I am the most patriotic person of the country!"

Indeed the Ummah of Bangladesh questions Hasina if Khaleda Zia back in 2001 came to power by pledging the resources of the country to foreign companies, then how much more have you promised to give away to return to power in the 2008 election? Indeed your pledge of land, sea and air transit to India, your collaboration with the Indian plot to destroy Muslim army of Bangladesh, your consent to Indian Tipakimukh Barrage which will deforest almost 20% of the entire country, the adoption of secular education policy 2010, the enactment of the un-Islamic national women development policy 2011, banning Islamic political parties and hijab, awarding USA the only Navy base of the country BNS Isha Khan, allowing USA to have a military base and airport in Coxes Bazaar, allowance of two CIA bases in Bangladesh and now the allowance to ConocoPhillips to sell our gas to foreign market clearly speaks for what you have pledged to USA, UK and India, who in a compromise deal as reported by Wikileaks brought you to power! The people of the country question if we have to buy our own gas at international price then what logic pushed you to plunder our resources while we could use our money to buy the same from other countries! Indeed the motivation is nothing other than the competition between you and your rival Khaleda Zia in clinging on to power. The contract has been signed just when Khaleda Zia has paid a visit to the US just two weeks earlier! Thus you are trying to reinforce the confidence of the Americans on you. Indeed with the return of Khilafah "Caliphate", such contracts will be made null and void as per the Shari'ah requirement and you will be brought to justice and punished for your treachery with the Ummah!

O Muslim Army! Saluting the chief of the Mushrik Army is a disgrace and humiliation; how much longer will you tolerate the treachery of Sheikh Mirjafor Hasina?

The Army chief of the Mushrik enemy state India, General V K Singh, is on a five-day visit to Bangladesh; he arrived on June 19 and will return to India on June 23. As part of his visit he will be in Chittagong on June 22, as the chief guest to review the passing-out parade of two batches of the Bangladesh Military Academy, the 64th Long Course and the 35th Special Course. This is nothing but a disgrace and humiliation for the Muslim Army; it will be the 2nd Black Day for the Muslim Army of Bangladesh in less than three years, under the Hasina government, after the 1st Black Day of the Pilkhana Massacre. Hizb ut-Tahrir organized a demonstration today at 12.00pm to protest against this; the demonstration started outside the High Court and ended outside the Press Club.
O Muslim Army of Bangladesh!
Your forefathers Khalid bin Walid, Muhammad bin Qasim, Muhammad Ghori, and Bakhtiyar Khalji forced death, captivity and treaties of surrender upon the chiefs and generals of mushrik enemies. While Hasina is ordering you to salute the descendant of the defeated Raja Dahir, Prithvi Raj and Lakshman Sen. Is death not better than the life of such disgrace and humiliation?
O Officers!
Does your blood not boil when your rulers honour the leaders and generals of the state that plotted against your brothers and massacred them in Pilkhana? The state which commits aggression and killings in the border? The state which is plotting to occupy Padua, right at this moment?
How long will you wait before unsheathing your swords of honour against your traitor rulers?
How much longer will you tolerate the treachery of Sheikh Mirjafor Hasina?
Hizb ut-Tahrir calls you towards the life of victory, power, honour, dignity and glory, as promised by our beloved Prophet, Muhammad (saw):
"A group of you will conquer India, Allah will open for them [India] until they come with its rulers chained; when they return back [from India] - Allah having forgiven their sins - they will find Isa ibn Maryam in Syria." [Na'im b. Hammad in al-Fitan reports from Abu Hurayrah]
This promise will only materialize under the leadership of the Khilafah "Caliphate". So gather and organise yourselves; remove Hasina from power; and handover authority to Hizb ut-Tahrir. And we will re-establish the righteous Khilafah "Caliphate" state and lead you and the Muslim Ummah to once again walk the path of victory, power, honour, dignity and glory; this victorious march will start from South Asia, Insha'Allah.

The new Arab Mindset is an ominous warning for the West

  • Published in Politics
  •   |

As the world debates about the various merits of the Arab revolt - whether the revolution will produce an alternative political landscape or not - very little has been said about the Arab mindset. Yes, the Arab people have grown to become fearless against the despotic regimes, but this is an accurate description of their psychological state, not their mindset. The thinking process of the Arabs has experienced a massive transformative change and is rapidly reaching a level of intellectual maturity that is likely to yield a crescendo effect.
Consider the euphoria that greeted the banishment of Ben Ali from Tunisia, or the incarceration of Hosni Mubarak in Egypt. Initially, the Arabs concluded that this would finally lead towards a permanent change; one that is different from the present day autocratic systems and draconian laws.
Instead, and within a space of few months, the Egyptians learnt that the regime not only survived, but was given a new lease of life through a military coup. The peace treaty with the Jewish state-despised by the majority of the Egyptians-remained firmly intact. The military -once the stalwart of the revolution, went from heroes to traitors overnight. Torture, imprisonment without trial, abductions by security forces, extra judicial killings, and sectarian strife- prevalent under Mubarak- returned to haunt Egyptians with renewed vigour. Western protégés groomed in exile and presented as viable alternatives to the status quo were quickly repudiated by the masses. Islamists, once coveted by the faithful are now ridiculed for sounding more secular than the secularists! Even the public enthusiasm for constitutional reforms and the presidential election has faded.
The Tunisian experience is almost as identical. Looking further afield, the same can be said for Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Jordan, Syria and some of the GCC countries. The narrative before and after the revolt, remains unchanged for many Arabs. For them, the Arab world is ruled by pro-western elites who are more interested in the preservation of Western colonial interests than the liberation of Arab masses from tyranny.
Right now, it seems as though any Western attempt to orchestrate political change in Arab countries is instantly rejected and thrown back. The dormant Arab mind is now awake, and is fast producing results that are diametrically opposed to the West's longevity and primacy in the Middle East.
The learning curve, which consists of the sensation of the reality, contemplation and judgment, is no longer so steep for the Arab masses. So how have Arab minds changed?
It can be argued that over the past eighty odd years, the breadth and depth of problems faced by Arabs have grown in both magnitude and scope: The destruction of the Caliphate in 1924, Western occupation of Muslim lands, the establishment of the Jewish state in 1948, the successive Gulf wars, the war on terror and the physical reoccupation of Arab lands, have all left indelible impression on Arab minds. These deep seated feelings of humiliation, indignity and violation of Islamic values spurred many Arabs to think profoundly about these feelings. However, the West through Arab exiles and her surrogates in the Arab world fed the masses a diet of corrupt Western thoughts to confuse and shield the Arabs from the arriving at the correct judgment about the events that befell them. Subsequently, the thinking process or thinking cycle-feelings about the problems, that in turn require connectivity and contemplation, which is then followed by judgment was either broken, or skewed, in the favour of Western interpretations. For many Arabs, this resulted in intellectual paralysis and stagnation of Arab societies. Severed from their natural feelings, the Arabs were unable to generate home grown solutions to the problems they faced, and were forced to import Western solutions and ideas. Thus the thinking process was temporarily disrupted. What compounded the situation further, was the adoption of Western solutions. Such solutions rarely solved problems but further exacerbated and sometimes prolonged them, as they were often ‘copied and pasted' without any real understanding of its origins and motives. This made the helpless Arabs more reliant on the West for their ever increasing portfolio of problems.
In this way, the West was able to keep its intellectual stranglehold over the Arabs and the wider Muslim world for many years. Only a few Muslims managed to punctuate West's intellectual dominance and expose the fallacy of its ideology. However, the majority remained in stasis, and plummeted into the abyss of gloom and despair.
Today, this no longer appears to be the situation. The Arab thinking process is no longer fragmented and disconnected from its surroundings. On the contrary, it is vibrant, in touch with its environment, and takes solace from its rich Islamic heritage. The time taken to truly understand events is visibly shorter and the judgments more often than not are rooted in Islamic thoughts. Western thoughts and views are now routinely discarded. In its place is a new constellation of Islamic concepts and values. The concept of Khilafah "Caliphate"(Caliphate), Jihad, Islamic politics, Ummah, unity, Shari'ah and a Khilafah "Caliphate" (single ruler for the Arab and Muslim world) is so prevalent now, that it is common to see these terms included as part of West's lexicon to interpret the events in the Muslim world.
In summary, the mindset of the Arabs is now a beacon for the intellectual elevation of the whole Muslim Ummah. It is only a matter of time before the Ummah's intellectual revival leads to a political conclusion that spells the end of Western domination of Muslim lands.

"Khilafah "Caliphate",  Khilafah "Caliphate",  Khilafah "Caliphate" !" Such a call is again echoed in 8 major cities in the country. After two weeks in a row the call of Khilafah "Caliphate" and Syariah has been echoed in some big cities such as Banjarmasin, Kendari, Palu, Jayapura, Ternate, Samarinda, Batam, Pelembang, Lampung, Palangkaraya, and Ketapang.

And today, Sunday June 19th, 2011, Hizb ut-Tahrir Indonesia held again the Rajab 1432 H Conference in 8 other cities in Yogyakarta, Pekanbaru, Padang, Banda Aceh, Lubuklinggau, Bengkulu, Jambi, and Pangkalpinang.

The events with the theme of ‘Prosperous Life Under the Khilafah "Caliphate"' have been held and have become the hot issue while the call of  Sharia and Khilafah "Caliphate" have received a warm welcome.

"Secularism is a misleading  idea  whose goal is to separate the religion with the worldly life so it must be abandoned" said the Chairman of HTI Riau, while opening the conference in Pekanbaru, Riau. He also said that without the Khalifah, there is no real unity.  On the other hand, nationalism only divides the ummah.

"We should not be like dumb evils who cannot say loud to the unjust and wicked rulers that it is obligatory to enforce Syariah in the frame of Khilafah "Caliphate"!" said the Chairman of HTI Central Board, Muhammad Rahmat Kurnia when delivering the warm call of Hizb ut-Tahrir to the Muslims of Riau.

While in Yogyakarta around 10,000 of Islamic clerics (kyai), ustadz, mubalighah, the intellectuals, and the businessmen who come from various areas in Special Province of Yogyakarta thronged the Jogja Expo Centre (JEC) to attend the conference.

They also stirred up the call of the obligation of upholding Syariah and Khilafah "Caliphate".  The special thing about the conference in Yogyakarta was the coming of a leading scholar from Japan, Prof. Hassan Ko Nakata, to the conference. In his speech which was in Arabic, he gave encouragement to the residents of Yogyakarta to continue preaching to awaken the Muslims so that they are willing to be bound by Islamic laws and to fight together with Hizb ut-Tahrir  for the establishment of  Khilafah "Caliphate".

"From Yogyakarta, the call spreads to all parts of Indonesia, even to the world!" he shouted. The Spokesman of HTI, Muhammad Ismail Yusanto, who also attended the occasion read the Warm Call from Hizb ut-Tahrir Indonesia for the Muslims in Yogyakarta and Central Java.

At the western tip of Indonesia, in Banda Aceh, the call of khilafah is also inflamed. In the city of what is so called as "Serambi Mekah" (the Veranda of Mecca), around 2000 Muslims from various parts of Aceh, gathered in the Dayan Daod Hall.

The Rajab Conference in Aceh took place smoothly and the participants enthusiastically never stopped calling  the words to establish khilafah. No less interesting was also the conference in Jambi, Sumatra. Around 350 Muslims fulfilled the Auditorium of RRI Tenalai Pura, in the city of Jambi, Jambi Province.

While in Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung, Rais Am of Islamic Organization Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) of Central Bangka, KH Syairan Rois, stated that the NU Central Bangka supports the whole struggle of Hizb ut-Tahrir.

"We support all struggles of Hizb ut-Tahrir, and we call upon all Muslims to re-establish the khilafah," he suggested and then greeted by the audience with Takbir.

The Deputy Governor of Bangka Belitung, Shamsuddin Basari, who was also present in the event declared his support. He said personally he supports  the struggle for Khilafah "Caliphate" of Hizb ut-Tahrir.  It is because Indonesia is now really in a collapsed state due to a corrupt system.

He also stated the need for unity of the ummah, from the scholars and the umara (rulers) to all components of society should work together to unite for the establishment of  Khilafah "Caliphate". "What has been struggled by Hizb ut-Tahrir is not a deviation from the religion, and it is worth fighting for. Hizb ut-Tahrir has never committed acts of violence and this is the right one. The government should support the struggles of Hizb ut-Tahrir"he admitted that out loud and greeted by the echos of Takbir.

Since June 2nd, the series of Rajab Conference 1432 H have been scheduled to continue in 29 major cities with the top event is on June 29th at Lebak Bulus Sports Stadium, Jakarta. Fatih mujahid  [  mediaumat.com ].
