Neither the Current Interim Government nor any Upcoming Elected Government has Mandate to Implement Colonial Projects of the USA

News:

Tensions between Bangladesh’s interim government, led by Dr. Yunus, and the military are no longer a secret. On May 26, an Army spokesperson publicly voiced opposition to the government’s proposal to open a “humanitarian corridor” to Myanmar’s conflict-torn Rakhine State, home to the persecuted Rohingya. Last week, Bangladesh army chief Waker-Uz-Zaman expressed concerns about several of the government’s initiatives, including the so-called humanitarian corridor, the potential foreign management of Chittagong Port, and the introduction of Starlink, Elon Musk’s satellite Internet service. He also urged the government to hold early elections for “a stable, elected government” that is capable of making decisions related to national security. Amid the growing rift, speculation swirled in Dhaka last week that Mr. Yunus might step down. (The Hindu, May 28, 2025).

Comment:

It must be unquestionably clear that the ongoing political tension in Bangladesh is not between the Yunus-led interim Government and the Army. In essence, this tension is between the people on one side and the Interim Government on the other side; as the government is openly acting against the will and aspiration of the people. The fundamental duty of the army is to protect the sovereignty of the country. They reflected the will of the people as they voiced against the initiative of the interim government threatening the sovereignty of the country. If the military leadership resorted to the silence in this issues they would also betray the people. So vested quarters are trying to mislead by calling it a rift between the interim Government and the military leadership.

Because, the government is a contract between the people and the ruler. Through this contract, people authorize the ruler to take care of the people and protect the people’s interest from any aggressing foreign entity. So there is no mandate to violate the interest of the people or the country by any rulers either it is interim or it is elected. The previous Hasina regime fell due to her clear stance against the interests of the people. She clearly implemented the domineering and aggressive anti-state projects of India. She always boasted about that publicly and said: “Indians will forever remember the gracious favors I’ve bestowed on them”. As a result, the people of Bangladesh perceived Hasina as an unmasked puppet of the Hindutva India and were severely enraged on her due to her barbaric and ruthless suppression on political Islam and the Islamic scholastics on the behest of USA and India. The result was obvious. People did not care about her deadly gun barrels and were not clamped down by deaths and injuries. People from all walks of life faced her tyranny like an unshakable rock-solid wall and ousted her in a spectacular way. So, the current tension between the people and the interim government was very much expected due to the pursuance of anti-state and pro-US activities from the government.

Besides Dr. Yunus claims to be a global player, so the people expect he is more capable to overcome the foreign pressure, but in reality, he is continuously proving himself to be a pawn of the US neo-colonial project. He is desperately pursuing the interest of the US in matters of the so-called humanitarian corridor, the potential foreign management of Chittagong Port, and the hasty introduction of Starlink in Bangladesh. Yunus led interim government is clearly serving the US interest and helping the US loyalist and Buddhist extremist group Arakan Army in Myanmar at the cost of Rohingya Muslims’ blood and tears. As a result, the people became very frustrated on his rule. Not long before, his predecessor Hasina did the same with the Rohingya Muslims when she served the British interest and helped the British loyalist Junta government in Myanmar to quell the Arakan Army. In principle, if any government, popularly elected or otherwise, is found to have collaborated with any foreign states against the interest of the people then the ‘contact of ruling’ becomes null and void.

Moreover, the ruling contract is also based on consent and free will. There must be no compulsion from any sides of the contracting parties. When Mr. Yunus intended to step down and resign from the interim government, the ruling contract between him and the people became void from this ‘principle of ruling’ point of view. There is no point in continuing with him as a ruler who threatens the people to leave them behind. From this perspective, he should vacate his position as the head of the government. Otherwise in the coming days people will overthrow him as they overthrew tyrant Hasina for her clear collaborations with the kuffar enemies. Because the people of Bangladesh believe in Islam and their aspiration to follow the commandments of Allah (swt) runs deep through all of their veins. They are aware of the verse where Allah (swt) says in the Glorious Quran:

[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا عَدُوِّي وَعَدُوَّكُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ تُلْقُونَ إِلَيْهِم بِالْمَوَدَّةِ وَقَدْ كَفَرُوا بِمَا جَاءَكُم مِّنَ الْحَقِّ]

“O believers! Do not take My enemies and your enemies as allies and don’t show them affections, as they deny the truth (Islam) which has revealed to you.” [Surah Al-Mumtahina: 1].

As a part of the Muslim Ummah, the people of Bangladesh emerged as a vital player against the conspiracies of the kafir colonialists. Therefore, they do not tolerate any single individual or any political party who pledge their loyalty towards the kuffar colonialist US and their regional policeman, India. The people (Ummah) and their belief (Aqeedah) are inseparable parts of the State. So, no individual ruler or ruling party can withstand the consequence of going against the people and their belief. The Islamic Ummah has left those grim days behind when the political parties and certain individuals could play with fate of the Muslims. The time has come when the Ummah would take its rightful share in politics and ruling. From this point there is no turning back. It is that time when the long-awaited revival and awakening of the giant will take place on the epitaph of the foolish and agent rulers. Allah Al-Azeem (swt) says in the Quran:

[كُنتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ]

“(O Muslims!) You are the best ever nation raised up for mankind— you encourage what is good, forbid what is evil and you believe in (the promise of) Allah.” [Surah Aali Imran:110].
