[مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللهَ عَلَيْهِ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ قَضَى نَحْبَهُ
وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَنْتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُوا تَبْدِيلاً]

“Among the believers are men who have proven true to what they pledged to Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their pledge ˹with their lives˺, others are waiting ˹their turn˺. They have never changed ˹their commitment˺ in the least.” [Al-Ahzab 33:23]

Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Tunisia mourns the passing of one of its men from the Dawah Carriers, Ustadh Hassan Nouair, who passed away today, Friday, the 24th of Dhu al-Hijjah 1446 AH, corresponding to 20/06/2025 CE, after a struggle with illness that weakened his body but did not extinguish the flame of his message nor his determination to work in the ranks of those striving to resume the Islamic way of life by establishing Khilfah Rashidah (the rightly-guided Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood.

Uncle Hassan Nouair, may Allah have mercy on him, took over the editorship of At-Tahrir Newspaper, and he did not compromise on a word of truth, nor did he fear the blame of the blamers in the path of Allah. With his articles, he documented stances of rare honor, and with truth, he confronted the tyranny of falsehood. In his final illness, he remained loyal to the covenant of the truthful word that neither flatters nor stays silent in times of silence.

We ask Allah Almighty to accept him among the righteous, to raise his rank in the highest ranks, and to grant his family, relatives, loved ones, and all his companions on the path, patience, steadfastness, and reward.

[إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ]

“Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will ˹all˺ return.” [Al-Baqara 2:156]
