On April 9, 2015 CE, the Khujand City Court in the Sughd region in the Republic of Tajikistan headed by Shokhrata Okhrorzuda ruled against 5 members of Hizb ut Tahrir, ages ranging from 35-42 years. The court convicted them of committing a crime according to Article 307 Item 3, Part 2 of the Criminal Code (the formation of an extremist organization, and participating in political party activities, public or religious or other organizations and associations...

The persecution against Muslims in Bashkiria still persists. On the of 16/4/2015 Karimov Almaz born in 1986, and Mostajev Ayrat born in 1988, and Bayswakov Wiliyor born in 1982, and Zinleen Rustam born in 1984, were arrested. They were charged with the membership of Hizb ut Tahrir. That is under the Article 205 Section 5 of the Russian Federation criminal code which is under the "the work of a terrorist organization" and the maximum punishment that awaits them is a life sentence.
