Reuters reported on 11 July, “India’s government on Tuesday (8 July) said it would impose a 28% tax on funds that online gaming companies collect from their customers, in a blow to the $1.5 billion industry that has surged in popularity and attracted foreign investment.”

The proposal for a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) is nothing more than a renewed attempt to further control the lives of Muslim women and restrict their Islamic practices.

India is progressing but this is not due to its own resources or strength. It because of American support. The US supports states that work to strengthen the US backed international order and protect US interests.

Ahead of the state visit by the Indian Prime Minister to the United States, within which there is a speech to the US Congress on 22 June 2023, an opportunity extended only to the closest of allies, the Biden administration confirmed its aggressive building of India. On 5 June 2023, the spokesman for the US State Department declared, “Our partnership with India is one of our most consequential.”
