European Union Struggles to Address COVID-19 Economic Crisis

Addressing the European Parliament on Wednesday 27 May 2020, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen proposed that the European Union take on debt of €750 Billion in order to provide €500 Billion of grants and €250 Billion of loans to countries in Europe suffering economic damage from the COVID-19 lockdowns.

The Suffering of Kashmir, Does it not have an End?

Violent clashes took place between hundreds of demonstrators and government forces on 13 May in Indian Occupied Kashmir, after the killing of 25-year-old Mahruddin Bir Shah. He was driving, when Indian paramilitary forces shot him, near a checkpoint on the outskirts of Srinagar, the capital of Occupied Kashmir. Shah was shot, as the police claimed, because he refused to stop at a checkpoint!
