O People of Yemen: Your Blood Should Be Shed at the Gates of Bayt al-Maqdis to Fight the Jews,
Not for You to Kill One Another... Where Are the Sensible People?!

With the announcement by Rashad al-Alimi, head of the so-called Presidential Leadership Council, on Monday, 05/10/2026, of the launch of the military operation “Dawn of Yemen,” aimed at eliminating the Houthi group, the killing in Yemen has intensified. Rivers of blood are flowing, and scattered bodies are filling the valleys, coastlines, and mountains. This has been accompanied on social media by vile incitement among their supporters and repulsive regional and sectarian exchanges of abuse. These killings are taking place with support and backing from Saudi Arabia, which has long committed crimes against Muslims, not only the people of Yemen. It is directing the machinery of war under American instructions.

The launch of this operation comes days after the announcement of general mobilization and an escalation in military confrontations. Al-Alimi’s forces aim to advance toward Al-Mokha and other areas controlled by the Houthis, while the group seeks to take control of Taiz Governorate, where fighting is already raging, before moving on to other areas under the control of Al-Alimi’s council. Meanwhile, accounts of advances on both sides of the battlefronts remain contradictory, particularly along the western coast and in Marib. The Houthis continue to launch ballistic missiles at airports in the cities of Najd and the Hijaz, while Riyadh continues its airstrikes on the capital, Sana’a, and the governorates of Taiz, Saada, Marib, Al-Bayda, and Al-Hudaydah on Yemen’s western coast.

For its part, America made two statements about the operation on the same day, Monday. The first came from its Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, who described what was happening as a counteroffensive to retake territory, adding that “Washington had expected this to happen.” The second came from President Trump, who told reporters that Operation Dawn of Yemen “will go very well” as he left the White House for an election rally in Nebraska. This indicates that everything happening in Yemen, throughout twelve years of fighting, has been taking place under America’s watchful eye, so that crops and offspring alike are destroyed and Yemen ultimately comes entirely under its control.

The Europeans were also present. Coinciding with the launch of Operation Dawn of Yemen, Britain and France pledged to provide Riyadh with advanced military resources and air-defence systems to help it counter Houthi attacks. Meanwhile, the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, called for increasing the number of warships participating in the European Union’s Aspides operation in the Red Sea. The European Union condemned Houthi attacks inside and outside Yemen, describing them as a “dangerous escalation” that undermines regional stability and peace efforts, and called for them to cease immediately.

We, in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Yemen, say to our people:

1. The two opposing sides, the government and the Houthis, do not rule by Islam. Rather, they rule according to the capitalist system and submit to the United Nations and its envoy. Allah (swt) says: [فَإِن تَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ فَرُدُّوهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ إِن كُنتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ وَأَحْسَنُ تَأْوِيلاً] “If you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you truly believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is best and most suitable for final determination.” [Surah An-Nisa:59]. Therefore, they must all be rejected, along with the regional states backing them: Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Iran.

2. This ongoing conflict is about controlling you and keeping you under a system that contradicts the law of your Lord, forcing you to submit to the rule of tyranny, imposing taxes and levies on you, and leaving you in hardship and misery. The reality speaks for itself: conditions are visibly dire in all the areas controlled by either side. Both sides are competing to serve and facilitate the expansion of Western colonial powers’ control over the Bab al-Mandab Strait in particular and Yemen as a whole. Their own statements bear witness against them. On 06/10/2026, Shaya al-Zindani, Prime Minister of the so-called legitimate government, spoke about protecting regional security and securing international navigation in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab. On the other side, the Houthis’ official spokesman, Mohammed Abdulsalam, reassured America about the safety of its ships’ passage during his visit to its embassy in Muscat!

3. All fighters must return to their own areas immediately and bring the rivers of blood and the fierce fighting to an end. This conflict has claimed hundreds of lives, including military personnel on the front lines and civilians—elderly people, women, and children—in their towns and villages. Do not listen to calls for fighting from treacherous leaders, for you share one creed. Allah says: [وَمَن يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِناً مُّتَعَمِّداً فَجَزَاؤُهُ جَهَنَّمُ خَالِداً فِيهَا وَغَضِبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَعَنَهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُ عَذَاباً عَظِيماً] “Whoever deliberately kills a believer, their reward will be Hell, where they will remain forever. Allah’s wrath and curse are upon them, and a tremendous punishment has been prepared for them.” [Surah An-Nisa:93].

Let this blood instead be shed at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque in the fight to crush the Jews; that is where it deserves to be shed.

4. This turmoil you are experiencing will crush you unless you come to your senses and follow the path of those rightly guided. How can you raise your weapons against your brothers in faith? How can you leave your own areas to fight your brothers in theirs?! One side fights under the pretext of defeating the agents of Saudi Arabia, America, and the Jewish entity; the other fights under the pretext of eliminating the agents of Iran and America. Meanwhile, not a single American soldier is being killed by you; America is directing the battle between you, watching with delight and satisfaction... Will anyone take heed?

5. Neither of the two sides fighting for control of Yemen is fit to rule it. Both have waded in blood and treated it as something of little consequence. The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: «لَزَوَالُ الدُّنْيَا أَهْوَنُ عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ قَتْلِ مُؤْمِنٍ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ» “The destruction of this world is less significant to Allah than the unlawful killing of a believer.”

Both sides are merely repeating the record of those who have successively ruled Yemen over the past six decades of its division. Neither possesses a legitimate, transformative project capable of bringing progress to the people of Yemen.

For anyone who wishes to rule the people, the path is known, not hidden. It is laid down in the Book of Allah and cannot be erased, and recorded in the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (saw) and cannot be forgotten. That path is to rule by what Allah has revealed, reject man-made systems, and cut off the influence of the colonialist disbelievers. Yemen would then become the nucleus of unity across the Arabian Peninsula, followed by the incorporation of the rest of the Muslim lands. Islam would carry its message of light and guidance to all the world, bringing people peace of mind under Islamic rule. In this way, the people of Yemen would succeed in establishing the second Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly Guided Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood, which Allah (swt) has promised us and which His Messenger (saw) has given us glad tidings of. He (saw) said: «ثُمَّ تَكُونُ خِلَافَةً عَلَى مِنْهَاجِ النُّبُوَّةِ» “Then there will be a Khilafah upon the method of Prophethood.”

This is the fundamental solution that we in Hizb ut Tahrir have a duty to present to the people of faith. We do not say this as an exercise in wishful thinking; rather, we say it because we have made the necessary preparations and prepared the men.

Allah (swt) says: [هَذَا بَلَاغٌ لِّلنَّاسِ وَلِيُنذَرُوا بِهِ وَلِيَعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ وَلِيَذَّكَّرَ أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ] “This is a message for all people, so that they may be warned by it, and so that they may know that He is only One God, and so that people of understanding may take heed.” [Surah Ibrahim:52].
