 News Right Now: Cursed Collaboration

A few weeks ago, we witnessed the visit of a delegation from the FBI to the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police. They met and discussed key issues around sharing intelligence, enhancing law enforcement capabilities and bolstering counterterrorism measures in the region. This cooperation comes as a shock as the dust hasn’t even properly settled since the humiliating fall of Hasina yet the U.S. agents show no shame and are committed to continue waging the “war on Islam” in this country in the name of the U.S’s so-called “war on terror!”

The so-called "war on terror" has long been an excuse used by the U.S., particularly, to justify their political and military interventions! For too long, they’ve acted maliciously behind this banner having committed the most horrifying and unspoken crimes towards our Muslim Ummah. Our Muslim rulers have been either openly or not so openly allowing everything to happen! Bangladesh’s Hasina and her regime was increasingly aligned with the U.S. in the so-called fight against ‘terrorism’, often at the expense of its own interests and the well-being of its citizens. The repercussions of this foolish partnership have been evident, with increased surveillance, political repression, and a weakening of Bangladesh’s diplomatic autonomy!

The previous government left Bangladesh in a state of a mess! Their ending was also quite an embarrassment! Let this be a warning to the current regime - be vigilant, do not repeat the mistakes of its predecessors. The previous government’s failure– in compromising the integrity and their sovereignty behind the war on ‘terror’ has led to disastrous consequences, both in terms of national security and social harmony. The present administration must recognize that cooperating with the US under the guise of counterterrorism will lead to their demise and pure disaster! Now is the time to listen to the Muslims in Bangladesh who love Islam and love their Rasool SAW. When you sell yourselves and your people to the enemies of Islam, it is only a matter of time until you witness the wrath of Allah you invited.

Allah (swt) warns us:

“O Believers! Take not confidantes from people other than Muslims (i.e. unbelievers). They will leave no stone unturned to harm you” [Surah Aali Imran verse 118]

Security in Islam is never achieved through alliances with the enemies of Allah. The Prophet Muhammad (saw) made it clear that Muslims must not place their trust in those who oppose the faith, as true security lies in relying on Allah (swt) alone. Any effort to gain security through alliances with foreign powers, especially those with a history of hostility toward Islam will ultimately fail. It is the adherence to Islam, and unwavering trust in Allah (swt) that leads to true success. It is crucial to recognize that real security comes from a commitment to Islam, not from submission to foreign powers. No true security, prosperity, or peace can be achieved through alliances with those who have historically oppressed and targeted the Muslim world. Rather than placing faith in external powers or their fleeting promises, the focus should be in the strength of Our Ummah, the confidence in the words of Allah (swt) and the noble deeds and actions of our Beloved Rasool (saw); it is through the establishment of a just and Islamic system of governance, the Islamic Khilafah. It is only by striving for this noble goal that Bangladesh can truly attain the security, justice, and dignity it deserves as well as the rest of the Muslim world who has suffered enough due to its absence.

May Allah (swt) hasten its return and allow us to witness such days very soon, bitnillah, Ameen!
