We reviewed an article by the journalist writer Sabah Muhammad Al-Hassan on Sudan Rasd Network, dated 22/09/2025, entitled: "Why did the African Union propose an initiative parallel to the Quartet despite welcoming its statement and readiness to work with it?!"

Where the writer mentioned at the conclusion of the article in the last spectrum the following: “Kenya officially classified the Muslim Brotherhood and Hizb ut Tahrir as terrorist entities under the Prevention of Terrorism Act Chapter 59B, thus representing an important step in the country’s efforts to combat terrorism.”

And before responding to what the writer mentioned regarding Hizb ut Tahrir, we ask her: what is terrorism, and does that description apply to Hizb ut Tahrir?!

First: There is no internationally agreed definition of terrorism so that the colonial states use it as a scarecrow to fight Islam, and the former President of America George W. Bush Jr. said it explicitly after the events of 11 September 2001: “this crusade, this war on terrorism”, and the writer knows what the crusades mean. As for its former president Barack Obama also said: “Our campaign… is ultimately a battle for hearts and minds.” meaning their alleged war on terrorism. And unfortunately, some Muslims who are deceived without awareness repeat the phrases of terrorism and terrorists serving the policy of the kufar colonial West that is spiteful against Islam and Muslims.

Second: We do not know how the writer inserted the subject of terrorism, and Kenya’s classification of Hizb ut Tahrir as a terrorist entity, although her subject was about the African Union and the Quartet, except if she had a purpose, and we hope that this is not true, because Ms. Sabah knows Hizb ut Tahrir well since she was working in ALJAREEDA ALSUDAIA, and the Hizb’s communication with the newspaper, and she knows very well that Hizb ut Tahrir does not carry out material actions, but rather carries out intellectual and political actions.

Third: Hizb ut Tahrir is a political party whose ideology is Islam, it seeks to resume the Islamic way of life by establishing the second Khilafah Rashidah (rightly-guided Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood through the political way, and it does not carry out any material actions not out of fear of anyone, but as a commitment to the method of the Prophet (saw) in establishing the first Islamic state.

Fourth: Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan was clear in exposing the plans of America in this absurd war through which America seeks to remove the men of the British, and establish its men from the military in ruling, as it also seeks to tear Sudan apart by separating Darfur with the same scenario by which it separated South Sudan. And the Hizb has carried out and is still carrying out political actions noticeable to prevent the tearing of Sudan, so it would have been proper for the journalist Sabah, if she was keen on the unity of the country, stopping the war, and preventing the Western American plans, it would have been proper for her to mention the statements, leaflets, and actions of the Hizb at least from the angle of journalistic integrity, and conveying the news. But she saw nothing except what Kenya did against Hizb ut Tahrir, and this is something natural from Kenya and others of the small states that follow colonialism, and that walk in its footsteps in the war against Islam.
