Press Release
The Head of Kyrgyzstan's State Committee for National Security, Kamshbek Tashiev, Dismissed from his Post
(Translated)
On February 10, President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree dismissing Kamshbek Tashiev, the head of the State Committee for National Security, from his post, as well as three of his deputies, and appointing others in their place.
According to the president's press secretary, this decision was taken "primarily in the interest of the state, and in order to prevent a division in society, including among state institutions, but on the contrary, with the aim of strengthening unity."
Some media sources reported that Tashev learned of his dismissal while he was abroad, and that the decision came as a surprise to him.
On February 9, a statement signed by 75 former and current officials in the country was circulated, calling on the existing authority to hold early presidential elections as soon as possible.
Prior to that, in the case of closing private driving schools, deputies close to Tasheev made statements in parliament (the Supreme Council) opposing the president's decision.
Based on the above, the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in Kyrgyzstan declares the following:
Throughout Kyrgyzstan's history of "independence," several bilateral political alliances have formed, such as the Tashiev-Jabarov alliance. These alliances collapsed after one side achieved its objectives, ultimately leading to their disintegration. The most recent example is the alliance between Atmaev and Jeenbekov, which ended with Atmaev's arrest and the outbreak of armed conflict. Such outcomes are a natural consequence of a capitalist system based on self-interest. Therefore, one must not fall into the trap of politicians, nor allow the people to be divided by supporting one side or the other.
Furthermore, in the event of a political crisis, the colonial powers in the region will undoubtedly intervene to bolster their influence and compete for control of the country. Therefore, the people of Kyrgyzstan must approach these events with calm and political awareness, and not allow instability to occur in the country to serve the interests of these colonial powers.
