The Hypocrisy of the “Crusader” America: It Funds One Mosque in Bangladesh While Destroying Countless Others Across the Muslim World

The recent U.S. Embassy announcement of a $235,000 grant to restore Dhaka's Mughal-era Musa Khan Mosque raises a critical question: why does America suddenly care about one mosque in Bangladesh while its bombs continue to destroy mosques and Muslim lives across the Middle East?

This is not benevolence but calculated trickery - a cynical attempt by the blood-sucking U.S. to wash innocent Muslim blood off its hands under the guise of "cultural preservation". And the timing is particularly striking, coming amidst a new American-backed ‘crusade’ against Iran and the ongoing genocide in Al-Aqsa, the very war that American Secretary of War Hegseth proudly portrays himself and his nation as leading.

U.S. is actively complicit in the destruction of Al-Aqsa's sanctity, blocks resolutions on Gaza, and then funds a single mosque in Dhaka to fool Bangladesh’s Muslims into thinking it cares. Meanwhile, the American war machine has systematically demolished Muslim heritage across the globe: U.S.-led forces obliterated the Great Mosque of Aleppo in Syria (a UNESCO World Heritage site), and U.S.-backed airstrikes reduced Raqqa - once a jewel of Islamic civilization - to rubble, leveling mosques and cultural centers under the guise of "liberation”. So, this funding is nothing but an extension of America’s cultural imperialism against Islam. By funding a heritage site in Bangladesh, the U.S. seeks to make Bangladesh’s Muslims feel "specially cared for”. It attempts to sever our solidarity with Muslims of Palestine and Iran - telling us “Our heritage matters, theirs doesn't" - a divide-and-rule tactic to make us accept U.S. aggression against our fellow brothers because America "respects" our local heritage.

However, the U.S. gravely miscalculates if it believes Bangladesh’s Muslims can be fooled by such transparent theatrics. The Muslims of Bangladesh are deeply connected to the global struggle of the Ummah. We see the bloodshed in Palestine. We see the aggression against Iran. We saw the destruction of Islamic heritage in the Middle East.

We reject this American attempt to use our heritage as a shield for their crimes. No amount of restoration funding for a single mosque can erase the genocide being perpetrated by America and its allies in Gaza, nor the decades of destruction of Islamic holy sites by the U.S. war machine.

Let it be known: Whatever trickery the USA adopts - whether through funding or false diplomacy - it will never be able to tame the Muslim minds of Bangladesh. We stand with the oppressed Muslims of Palestine and Iran, and we reject the hypocritical hand of the crusader state.

Finally, we, Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Bangladesh, call upon the Bangladesh government to reject foreign funding that serves as a political tool to whitewash American crimes against humanity in the Muslim world.
