Accounting the Tyrant is a Duty in Islam
The Dawn as a front-page headline on 17/9/14 had a story entitled, “Passengers force ‘VIPs’ to leave plane for causing flight delay.” It further reported that, “That people can assert their rights and refuse to be bullied by VIPs was witnessed on a PIA (Pakistan International Airlines) aircraft on Monday night when two late-arriving politicians were asked by angry passengers to get off because they had caused a flight delay of an hour and 45 minutes.” A discussion has broken out in Pakistan within society regarding the incident. The people are mentioning their despair at the VIP culture within Pakistan, where great favor is given to people of influence and the common people have their rights denied. People are tired of the VIP culture, might is right and Jiss kee lathee uss kee bhains (“Who has the stick, has the cow.”). A junior police SHO acts as a prince and senior oifficlas act as kings and emperors. People have become used to having their rights seized.
The VIP culture is alien to Islam. When a delegation came to RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم he was sitting amongst his Companions (ra), the delegation was compelled to ask who was RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم amongst them. If any were to be extended VIP culture or protocol, it must have been the foremost of all of humankind, RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم, but it was not to case. And we find that Omar (ra) was found lying sleeping under a tree or on the stairs of a masjid, at a time when the Khilafah had expanded across vast lands. Moreover, RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم bared his back, urging the Muslims to account him for any rights that were taken from him. And Umar (ra) stood with humility as a woman accounted him over the issue of Dowry and the people accounted him for his cloth.
As for the current politicians and rulers, they are not only undeserving of VIP culture, they must be severely accounted. Muslims must not tolerate their rights being seized or Kufr being implemented over them. It is time for the Muslims to become defiant before the usurpers of their rights. RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, ِ
«لَا يَأْخُذَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ مَتَاعَ صَاحِبِهِ جَادًّا وَلَا لَاعِبًا وَإِذَا وَجَدَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَصَا صَاحِبِهِ فَلْيَرْدُدْهَا عَلَيْهِ»
“Nobody of you should take the property of his companion, neither seriously or in jest. And if anyone of you found the staff of his companion, he has to return it to him.”
And RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم said,
«مَنْ أَخَذَ شِبْرًا مِنْ الْأَرْضِ ظُلْمًا فَإِنَّهُ يُطَوَّقُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ»
“Whoever took a hand span of land unjustly, then he will be encircled with it on the Day of Judgment, from seven Earths.” [Al-Bukhari]
America uses Pakistan Soil to Occupy Afghanistan
Pakistan’s Foreign Office on 16 September reminded Afghanistan’s authorities of the need to take complimentary counter-terrorism measures on its side of the border to ensure viable peace. “Pakistan remains committed to disallowing its territory to be used against any country,” said a FO statement.
The Pakistani regime’s stance is concealing its great treachery. The regime allows the NATO supply line to run through its territory which is used by America against Afghanistan. Without this supply of weapons and food, America would not be able to maintain its occupation of Afghanistan. In addition, America has a vast network of private military and intelligence in Pakistan which are used to mount terror attacks on Pakistan’s armed forces to ignite chaos and civil war, through which the American occupation can remain undisturbed. So, the treacherous regime is pivotal to maintaining the American occupation of Afghanistan. America knows well that Soviet Russia’s occupation of Afghanistan ended because it was unable to gain Pakistan’s support. Now that America itself is occupying Muslim Land, it knows that the key to the survival of its occupation is alliance with Pakistan.
The implementation of Islam will ensure the end of the use of Pakistan’s territory to support American occupation. The regime’s alliance with America is what allows Pakistan’s territory to be exploited by America. Such alliance is a major crime forbidden in Islam for the saying of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم:
«لا تَسْتَضِيئُوا بِنَارِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ»
“Do not take light from the fire of the polytheists (the Mushrikin)”, directed by Bayhaqi in As-Sunan Al-Kubra by Anas bin Malik. And the fire of a people is metaphor for their entity in the war.
And for his صلى الله عليه وسلم saying:
«فَلَنْ أَسْتَعِينَ بِمُشْرِكٍ»
“I will not seek help from a Mushrik”, narrated by Muslim from Aisha (ra).
Also Abu Dawood and Ibn Majah from Aisha (ra):
«إِنَّا لا نَسْتَعِينُ بِمُشْرِكٍ»
“We do not seek help from a Mushrik”.
The Khilafah will end all Western colonialist presence on Muslim World. It will thus end their capability to participate in the “gold rush” of Western powers to exploit the resources of the Muslim World. And it will work practically to unify the Muslim World as one vast state, strong against the enemy.
Democracy itself is a Fraud, Not Just its Elections
The Elec¬tion Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday 17 September gran¬ted Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan’s request to inspect the electoral record of NA-122 Lahore, the constituency where he lost to National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. Mr Khan had first filed a petition to this effect about a year and half ago. The rulers and the opposition are now waging a war over electoral daandlee (fraud). The grand talk of revolution, change and a political tsunami has weakened to mere inspection of election records. The rulers and the opposition have failed to address the problem of Pakistan, for what is at fault in Pakistan is not merely who rules, but what they rule by.
In the West, revolution arose against monarchy, because regardless of which dynasty ruled, they ruled by oppressive man-made law. The issue was not merely who ruled, by what they ruled. The Westerners were languishing in a Dark Ages and could see how the Caliphate brought justice, prosperity and security for its people. They became agitated and rose up against the oppressive rulers. Democracy arose but it is itself a new form of oppression. Regardless of who rules in America, Republicans or Democrats, there is an ever increasing concentration of wealth, which is an oppression upon the people. Democracy, like monarchy and dictatorship, is man-made law and those who rule, bias that law according to their interests. Democracy in the Western world still exists because there is no alternative presented to its people. As for the Muslims, rather than engaging themselves in corrupt man-made systems, they must work with vigour to re-establish the Khilafah, a system where the elected ruler must abide by the commands and prohibitions mandated by Allah سبحانه وتعالى. Only then will the Muslims escape from the darkness of the systems of misguidance to the light of Islam.
اللّهُ وَلِيُّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ يُخْرِجُهُم مِّنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّوُرِ
“Allah is the Wali (Protector or Guardian) of those who believe. He brings them out from darkness into light.”
(Surah 2:257)
The Khilafah will Return the Billions of Dollars of Misappropriated Wealth to the Ummah
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on 18 September ruled out possibility of the recovery of billions of dollars stashed in Swiss banks any time soon. He was talking to journalists after signing of the MoU by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Revenue and Customs of the UK for exchange of information and cooperation on improvement in taxation and revenue collection. The minister denied saying that the corrupt had stashed $200 billion in Swiss banks, and the figures being quoted on the issue were just guesstimates. The issue of seizing the corruption money of politicians, it arose because of the rising awareness of the people about Islam and their rights. However, the regime will not pursue the matter sincerely as it itself is involved in corruption and misappropriation. It is well known that the huge fortunes of political leaders who regard Pakistan as their personal farm, to take from as they like, is from misappropriation, to the order of billions of dollars.
Nothing short of Khilafah will restore the wealth of the people. From the viewpoint of Islam, this wealth has been taken from the state property, such as the large scale industrial manufacture, as well as from the public property, such as minerals and energy. Hizb ut Tahrir has adopted in its Introduction to the Constitution, Article 95, that, “As for dealing with cases to do with misappropriated wealth that remains with the one who misappropriated it, Muslim reported from Wa’il Bin Hujr who said,
كُنْتُ عِنْدَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه و سلم فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلاَنِ يَخْتَصِمَانِ فِي أَرْضٍ فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا إِنَّ هَذَا انْـتَزَى عَلَى أَرْضِي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَهُوَ امْرُؤُ الْقَيْسِ بْنُ عَابِسٍ الْكِنْدِيُّ وَخَصْمُهُ رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ عِبْدَانَ قَالَ: بَيِّنَتُكَ، قَالَ: لَيْسَ لِي بَيِّنَةٌ، قَالَ: يَمِينُهُ، قَالَ إِذَنْ يَذْهَبُ بِهَا، قَالَ: لَيْسَ لَكَ إِلاَّ ذَاكَ، قَالَ: فَلَمَّا قَامَ لِيَحْلِفَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه و سلم مَنِ اقْتَطَعَ أَرْضًا ظَالِمًا لَقِيَ اللَّهَ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْـبَانُ
“I was with the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم and two men came there disputing over a piece of land. One of them said, Messenger of Allah, this man appropriated my land without justification in the days of ignorance. The (claimant) was Imru’l-Qais b. ‘Abis Al-Kindi and his opponent was Rabi’a b. ‘Iban. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said (to the claimant): Have you evidence (to substantiate your claim)? He replied: I have no evidence. Upon this the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم remarked: Then his (that is of the defendant) is the oath. He (the claimant) said: In this case he (the defendant) would appropriate this (the property). He صلى الله عليه وسلم said: There is than no other way left for you but this. He (the narrator) said: When he (the defendant) stood up to take oath, the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: He who appropriated the land wrongfully would meet Allah in a state that He would be angry with him”. The Messenger accepted to listening to the claim of the man regarding land misappropriated with knowledge that this occurred in Jahilliyah. Accordingly, whoever took a piece of land, or misappropriated a pasture of an individual’s wealth, or took some wealth from the public or state property, and it was misappropriated, the claim regarding it would be accepted.”
Dengue and Malaria Spread is Because of Government Neglect of Water Drainage
On 19th September, 2014, Dawn reported that the Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Health Khwaja Salman Rafiq has said that as many as 54 dengue patients have been reported in Punjab so far. After heavy monsoon rains, rain water collects within human dwellings or near them. In 2011, there were over 300 people who died from Dengue disease in Pakistan and there were over 14,000 cases. Dengue is carried by the female Aedes mosquitoes, most commonly, A. aegypti, which is found in collected rain water. As cited by the World Health Organization in its 2009 report, “Dengue Guidelines, Treatment, Prevention and Control”, the primary method of controlling A. aegypti is by eliminating its habitats. This is done by getting rid of open sources of water, which is far more effective than insecticides, which are toxic agents.
Malaria also rises after monsoons, as there are large pools of stagnant, dirty water. Water drainage is important to control the infected female Anopheles mosquito which carries malaria thrives in such reservoirs of dirty water. In the case of Pakistan, rain water and sewerage drainage are through one system. If there is choking in the sewerage draining, as often occurs through debris, heavy rain water overloads the system, producing vast areas of dirty water. Yet, the government neglects to separate rain water drainage from sewerage. Government initiative is required to take care of the rising malaria. Consider that Mussolini became very popular in pre World War II Italy because he drained the Pontine Marshes near Rome, thus eliminating malaria from the area. Mussolini simply had his troops dig drainage ditches to the sea, and put in some big pumps to lift the salt water out, letting fresh water come in from the rivers, and thus cleanse and irrigate the land. As his troops moved North out of Italy in the face of the advancing Allied army during World War II, Hitler had them turn Mussolini’s drainage pumps around, and pumped salt water back into the Pontine agricultural zone, turning it into a marsh once again. And back came the mosquitoes and malaria. It was not until after the war that the marshes were drained again, and malaria was finally eliminated from the area, in 1962.
Our rulers today implement Kufr and only secure the interests of traitors in the military and political leadership as well as masters in the west. They do not care for the suffering of people today and show no creativity in safeguarding the precious lives of the people. So whilst they refuse to dig an efficient rain water drainage system, they are busy digging a long trench at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border to prevent Muslims from fighting against the occupying forces in Pakistan. They will spend hundreds of millions of dollars on buying military, security and intelligence equipment to fight their own people, but will not spend to save the lives of the people from preventable illness. The need of the time for Muslims is a righteous Khaleefah, ruling by Islam, caring for the affairs of the Muslims.
