Hizb ut-Tahrir held ‘Shoe carrying' protest demonstrations in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi and Peshawar against American military bases and Blackwater
Hizb ut-Tahrir held protest demonstrations in Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar carrying shoes which were inscribed with the slogan of "End American Raj, Close US embassy & bases". The aim of this shoe carrying demo is to assure the masses that America can only be kicked out of this region. The shoe has otherwise too become the national symbol of United States of America after Bush was targeted with it in Iraq.
These demonstrations were held outside press clubs in Karachi and Lahore, at media offices in Islamabad while in Peshawar it was organised in Qissa Khawani Bazar. Protesters were carrying banners and posters inscribed with slogans of "Af-Pak- Graveyard of America and Nato" and "O Armed Forces! Rise up to destroy American military bases in Pakistan". Protesters were raising slogans against American military bases and Black Water. Addressing the protesters, members of Hizb ut-Tahrir demanded that the military bases under the garb of expansion of embassy and consulates be immediately shut down.
Moreover, America must be expelled from this region - the real source of all evil. Everyone is aware that no instance of terrorism was there in the region before the arrival of American troops and its intelligence agencies. But now America, using the Iraq pattern, causing bomb blast in cities thus making Muslim fight Muslim in tribal areas - benefiting none other than the American troops in Afghanistan. The time has come for Pak armed forces to kick out America and expel her from the region. Moreover, it is the responsibility of political parties, Ulema, intellectuals and all the society to become part of the ‘boot America out' campaign as you cannot catch a hare with a tabret.

The recent attacks from militants who wants US and its supporters out and Pak army supporting US war on terror points to one reality - a corrupt regime run by Zardari who knows not any way out but to kiss the shoes of his masters for more aid. These operations are not for saving Pakistan from the clutches of the occupiers but inflict further divisions and weaker Pakistan. So, where the solution lies hidden needs to be unearthed must impinge with the core values that Muslims of the region must uphold high above everything else. Today Pak army joining hands with infidels killing its own people prohibited by Islam to facilitate kufr. "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his Recompense is Hell to abide therein, and the Wrath and the Curse of Allâh are upon him, and a great punishment is prepared for Him." (TMQ: An-Nisa; 93) The Khilafah, a sincere leader able to reunite the Ummah matching the past glory, lead the affairs of life of the people complete way essentially the answer. |
