The sisters of Hizb-ut-Tahrir – Ukraine, held the first ever Muslim Womens’ conference in Ukraine. It was attended by around 835 sisters.

First Talk: Woman and her role in Nahda (revival)

3. Women in Islam and the roles given to her

Second Talk: Women’s rights and freedoms are naive slogans

Main points of the talk:

1. History of the call to free women

2. Women’s misery under capitalism

3. How the calls of women rights came to the Muslim world.

4. يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ وَأُنثَى وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِندَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ

“People, We created you all from a single man and a single women, and made you into races and tribes so that you should recognise one another. In Allah’s eyes, the most honoured of you are the ones most mindful of Him: Allah is all knowing, all aware.” [Al-Hujjurat: 13]
